Specific Dimensions: 10"w x 28"h (No exceptions)
The design must fill the entire 10"w x 28"h space. All work needs to be thin and flat so it can be placed in a scanner. Raised surfaces or stretched canvas on frames cannot be accepted. Mat board, poster board and heavy paper are good choices.
For scale reference: The finished banner size is 30"w x 96"h, including the 12"h space at the bottom that states the project name, the title of the piece, and the name of the artist. Your work will be enlarged 3X to fill the design area of the banner.
The project envisions artwork that has a positive impact on the public, with designs/colors that show well against the background of homes, traffic, trees & sky.
Budget: $300
Two banner designs will be selected and the two artists will each receive a $300 stipend for their artwork. The banners will be on display April - November, 2016.
One submission per artist.
